The Diplomat Boutique Hotel, Merida

Our stay was absolutely delightful! The hosts, Neil and Sara, made us feel incredibly special with their warm hospitality and personalized service. The picturesque setting was a huge plus, and the room we had made our week-long stay even better. However, we wished we could have indulged in more adventurous breakfast options rather than the regular choices. Still, everything from the cocktails by the pool to the detailed local recommendations made our experience memorable.

The ambiance is sophisticated yet relaxed, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel is impressive. The breakfasts were wonderful and truly a highlight. We couldn't have asked for better hosts in Sarah and Neil, who went out of their way to make our stay special. The only downside was that we wished we could have stayed longer!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this boutique hotel! The ambiance was truly a charming oasis just a short distance from the historic center, with beautifully renovated, clean rooms. While the hotel is in a quiet residential area, it's conveniently close to all the sights Merida has to offer. The only minor downside was the lack of washcloths in the bathroom; everything else was perfect!
